Every Monday in December, Kat will be sharing a mini music video for Heavy Ghost. Over the course of four videos, she explores landscapes across Toronto under a clear sky.
Directed by Montreal's Selena Phillips-Boyle, with animations from Toronto's LIam Mitchell, the video creates a story book world that KASHKA is traipsing through. She is playfully chased by an animated spirit, that comes to rest in birdhouse she built.
Happy 2016! Here is my first video of the year, and it’s a musical one. I recorded this videosong in my lair, and used only things that I could find in the room. If you’ve got two minutes, spend it with me while I sing into the mountains. After a week of awful events in our world, it felt really good to let it all out. I wrote this song a year ago while driving through Kelowna, as I felt I was a mere speck next to the mountains. It brings me peace and comfort when I sing it. Maybe it will for you too.
